WAS BORN AND RAISED ON SANTA CROCE CAMERINA, PROVINCA OF RAGUSCA, SICILY. IN 1979 HE MOVED TO FLORENCE FOR CULINARY TRAINING WHERE HE RECEIVED HIS DIPLOMA IN 1981. CHEF CARMELO CAME TO THE UNITED STATES IN 1983 AND HAS SATISFYIED THOUSANDS OF MOUTHS ACROSS THE COUNTRY WITH HIS PASSION AND SENSATIONAL TASTE.
